LIES: Upright on mud bottom.
CONDITION: Completely intact.
DEPTH: 130-145' [40-44m]

CARGO: Coal
DIMENSIONS: ~140' [43m] x ~30' [9m] (per
Kevin Magee survey 6/18/05)
NOTES: ·
Light to Moderate zebra mussel
infestation. ·
Estimate the deck is ~4-10' [1-3m] off
of mud bottom. ·
The stern offering the highest relief. Remainder of hull is buried.
·
Deck is slightly listed to port. Bow deck lightly silted. Aft deck is
clean (perhaps swabbed by scooters?). Planking in
place with no major signs of damage or deterioration. Hold is full of silt to
~12" [300mm] below deck. ·
Wheel (8 spokes) & steering mechanism in
place and in good condition, except for 2-3 handles missing from
port side. ·
Partially obscured lettering on the top of the capstan reads
"Lawrence Foundry". Though I've been informed that past reconnaissance
has revealed the obscured lettering as "J.W. Henry, Quebec
and..." (to be confirmed). ·
Otherwise, dozens of Burbot call her home.
